It has been one back breaking weekend, and its not over yet. We have been laying the tile flooring. Originally I wanted 18" squares, but when I finally went to buy the tile, they had discontinued it and didn't have enough. This tile job would be going much faster if they had the larger tile, but they were able to round up enough of the smaller 13" tiles to do the job. It's just a lot of kneeling, cutting, sweating, and burning through a couple milwaukee drills mixing the thinset.
As you can see, the tile sort of changes colors depending on the light. It looks fairly pink in some rooms, which is kind of freaking me out, but in other light it looks like I wanted it, nice and gray.
And we've been doing a little painting, but my mom ducked out of the picture real quick, as usual.

ReplyDeleteIt really is looking lovely, i take it i will be invited for your world famous 'CRAB DIP' next September. Did your dad jump out of the window or is he still in the corner waiting for the tile adhesive to dry!Keep up the good work.
