The Start of the Framing

Spent a wonderful day helping the folks with framing. We should get a bunch done next week. I love seeing the place come together!

Concrete Slab

The concrete was poured today and it looks wonderful. And what a crew. Avery Glidden and his guys are some of the best workers we've seen. They are fast, meticulously and really hard workers.

Radiant Heat

Can't wait to have toasty warm feet, all winter long! And I have two zones, so the bedrooms and bathrooms can be kept warmer or cooler then the rest of the house.

Power and Phone

With a 200+ foot driveway, I decided to put the pole for phone and power very close to the road and run underground conduits from there all the way to the house. We had to dig up a trench, drop in all the conduits (1 for power and 1 for phone) and then glue them all together.

Septic & Well

So they came to dig the well and I had my fingers crossed...and it worked! Hit water at 147 feet. Not only did we hit water, but we got 30 gallons per minute! Haven't got the bill yet, but I should save quite a bit.

The septic system was also installed. We thought we might have to go with a lowboy tank, but it turns out we didn't = saved $500 bucks.
